Earthquakes in Italy and all over the world are a well-known problem. However, the real problem is not the seismic event itself, but the behaviour of the building in response to this event.

ISAAC is developing three different kind of products/services, which are able to effectively address the issues related to the seismic retrofit and assessment of existing buildings. In particular, these three products are:

 Package 1: a system for structures seismic diagnosis and assessment;  Package 2: a system for continuous monitoring of the building;  Package 3: an innovative and patented system for buildings seismic protection and continuous monitoring (ISAAC-AMD device). What mostly characterizes the listed solutions, compared to the existing alternatives on the market, is the reduction of costs, time and invasiveness of the interventions. ISAAC-AMD, the flagship product of the company, is a smart active device for the seismic protection of existing buildings, which requires the simple installation in the attic or on the roof of the structure. Once installed, together with motion sensors, the device is able to autonomously identify a mathematical model that accurately describes the dynamics of the structure, thus requiring no engineering of the solution. During the seismic event, the ISAAC-AMD system, consisting mainly of an inertial mass moved by hydraulic mechanisms, unloading forces on the top floor of the structure, counteracts the movement of the building, allowing to reduce the oscillation amplitudes. This allows to minimize the risk of damages or collapses, while also ensuring the comfort and safety of residents. 意大利和世界各地的地震是一个众所周知的问题。但是，真正的问题不是地震事件本身，而是建筑物响应此事件的行为。
