3Bee merges electronic sensors and biological analysis to develop innovative solutions for the farming sector. 3Bee designs and develops AI IoT diagnostic and monitoring systems for farming animals, aiming at changing the way in which they are managed. 3Bee's first focus has been bees, for which a device called Hive-Tech has been produced. The idea came from alarming data: bee population is constantly decreasing due to many causes: pesticides, poor diet, diseases, pathogens, poor beehive management, and climate change. At the present time, the only viable solution to tackle the problem is using chemical and antibiotic treatments, but it is not working anymore. 3Bee devices collect data about bees' important biological parameters, such as weight, temperature, humidity, and sounds. These data are then sent to the cloud, where are stored, analyzed, and used to develop AI predictive algorithms that are able to early detect diseases and anomalies. Thus, prompt and focused interventions are made possible and treatments can be drastically reduced and optimized. These devices serve as a Decision Support System, helping beekeepers to better manage their hives, reducing costs, saving time, and improving bees' health status. 3Bee is also developing similar SaaS enabled by IoT solutions to other farming animals (pigs, broiler) to tackle antibiotic abuse in the sector, that is causing a growing antibiotic resistance. The data collected by 3Bee's devices are interesting for pharmaceutical companies operating in the field of animal farming. As a matter of fact, every year they spend millions of euro to develop chemical treatments that have decreasing effectiveness with the time. These costs can be reduced thanks to the support of data provided by 3Bee. They can be also useful to help pharmaceutical companies to move their business in an economical sustainable and effective solutions (prevention) instead of chemical ones.。
